Welcome to Valais Blacknose Sheep Sussex!
The home of the Wayfaring flock of pure breed Valais Blacknose Sheep
My name is Vicky, I am a first year veterinary student at the Royal Veterinay College. I acquired my first sheep at the age of 18 after hand rearing three gorgeous lambs at my workplace on an open farm; I fell so in love that I had to take them home with me and so started a life long love of sheep as pets.
Six years and three more additions to my flock later I stumbled across a website for the "world's cutest sheep", this breed was so stunning I had to find out more so I found myself in touch with Valais Blacknose Sheep UK in Cornwall and that was the beginning of the South-East's first ever flock of this completely unique breed;
I collected them on 16th March 2015 and delivered them to their new home in East Sussex.
I breed a small number of quality animals each year to protect and promote this fabulous breed, and sell the excess stock to help fund the hobby and to prop me up as I struggle through 5 years of study! If you are interested in the breed or think you would like to add yourself to the growing ranks of VBN keepers in the UK, please look around this website and get to know more about these amazing animals...
